Etchgrip is a chemical flooring treatment that will increase the slip resistance of your floor in wet conditions. Etchgrip is not a coating that can flake and wear off but a surface treatment that will create a much safer floor in the wet. This can be achieved without a discernible change in the look or feel of your floor. Our teams of trained professionals can quickly and easily apply Etchgrip to your floor.

Etching is defined as the process of using strong acids to cut into the unprotected parts of a surface to create a design or print. The Etchgrip treatment uses a mixture of carefully tested acids to etch a microscopic tread design into the surface of hard flooring. Each floor surface is tested prior to treatment to ensure the perfect solution mix is used to optimise the slip resistance without affecting the appearance of your floor.

The Etchgrip treatment greatly increases the floors slip resistance in wet conditions and therefore its Pendulum Test Value (PTV). The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) report link opposite shows four sample tiles all Etchgrip treated and all give a low risk reading in the wet.

Is it easy to clean and maintain?

Many non slip surfaces are rough and can be very difficult to clean. Our Etchgrip treatment microscopically alters the surface giving a much greater slip resistance without creating a large increase in surface roughness. Our industrial degreaser is also available to maintain even the greasiest of surfaces.
