What is Etchgrip?

Etchgrip is a chemical flooring treatment that will increase the slip resistance of your floor in wet conditions. Etchgrip is not a coating that can flake and wear off but a surface treatment that will create a much safer floor in the wet. This can be achieved without a discernable change in the look or feel of your floor. Our team of trained professionals can quickly and easily apply Etchgrip to your floor.

Etchgrip Can Treat:

Ceramic tiles, Quarry tiles, Terrazzo, Marble, Concrete and cement aggregates, Stone surfaces. Etchgrip can also be used on (porcelain & enamel) bath and shower bases eliminating the need for rubber matting and decals that are breeding ground for bacteria. Our treatment will dramatically increase the slip resistance of your bath or shower without affecting the comfort of bathing.

How Can Etchgrip Help?

Etching is defined as the process of using strong acids to cut into the unprotected parts of a surface to create a design or print. This process has been known in Europe since the middle ages and may go back even further. The Etchgrip treatment uses a mixture of carefully tested acids to etch a microscopic tread design into the surface of hard flooring. This treatment greatly increases the floors slip resistance in wet conditions and therefore its pendulum test value (PTV). Each floor surface is tested prior to treatment to ensure the perfect solution mix is used to optimise the slip resistance without affecting the appearance of your floor.
